I own a 182 p with seaplanes west engine mount and aerocet 3500L floats. i will be upgrading to a larger engine shortly but like what i hear about the tcm 470 and the canard. will this combination be safe, do-able and stc-able. any chance of a gross increase.

I own a 172 Penn Yan on PK 2300 and am looking to upgrade in spring 2009. What is your timeline to certification in Canada? I am told that the Seaplane West float kit, with a bigger engine and 3 blade prop, the gross wt can go up to 3300 lbs. This is 185 country, but with a wider cabin and Katmai performance. I can't think of a better float plane to own. I will wait, but just for a while, otherwise 185's are dropping in price.
